Forming Stakes
These stakes are designed to conveniently work in any vise. The main component of each stake is a thick
wall steel pipe cap. We use the thickest wall caps available to insure the integrity of the tool for years of
regular use. The mounting flange is made of .375" steel and securely welded to the inside of the dome.
Cross bracing, also .375" steel, is welded in to maximize structural strength and eliminate any annoying
ringing noise. The face of the stake is ground and polished to remove factory flaws and create a surface
smooth enough for any fine work.
